Marine Corps Toys for Tots Run to Rockefeller Center

  • 30 Rockefeller Center United States (map)
The historic Pattenburg House.

On Sunday December 9th we will join with the Blue Knights XV for the annual ride into Rockefeller Center to donate to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. This will be a completely police escorted ride from the start all the way to Rockefeller Center. This year we will be riding a new route that will take us across the Outerbridge Crossing, the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, the Brooklyn Bridge and up the FDR Drive to Rockefeller Center.

Please bring at least one new, unwrapped toy per person (no stuffed or plush toys). You will need to carry the toys on your bike since there is no drop off point for this event. The ride ends at Rockefeller Center so you will need to be comfortable riding home from Manhattan without the police escort.

Many thanks to Ron Mitarotondo for organizing this ride for so many years. His efforts have resulted in this ride becoming larger and more successful every year. The logistics of organizing such a large scale event have led to Ron handing off responsibility for the logistics to the Blue Knights XV since they have the contacts within the NYPD to ensure provide the escort and parking.
