Canadian Insurance Card Requirement - Canada requires one to carry (be able to provide) a separate/special, “Canadian Insurance Card” (that’s what Rider, one insurance company calls it) to enter the country. It doesn’t cost anything, it is really just a secondary, backup card/letter stating proof of current insurance from your carrier. You do have to contact your insurance carrier and request that they mail it to you. The dates that we will be in Canada are September 18 - September 21.
